A substantial recessed profile for bold, integrated linear lighting
The XT7227S is designed for projects where LED lighting needs to be integrated directly into a surface, creating a strong and architectural lighting feature. Measuring 72 × 27mm, this substantial aluminium extrusion provides a generous housing for LED strip lighting while allowing the profile to sit neatly within the surrounding surface.
With its wide, structured design, the XT7227S is well suited to installations where the lighting needs to make an impact while still maintaining the clean appearance of a recessed fitting.

Built For Creative Lighting Projects
Designed to be recessed into surfaces
The XT7227S has been specifically designed for recessed installation, allowing the extrusion to be incorporated into a suitable surface rather than simply mounted on top of it.
The profile provides a generous 32.4mm lighting source width, giving compatible LED strip lighting plenty of space within the aluminium housing. With an overall width of 72mm and a depth of 27mm, the XT7227S creates a substantial linear lighting feature that can become an integral part of the surrounding architecture.
A wide profile for architectural lighting
With its 32.4mm lighting source width, the XT7227S offers a larger lighting channel than many of the slimmer profiles in the X-Trusion range.
The internal structure creates a dedicated space for the lighting source, while the surrounding aluminium provides the framework for a substantial recessed installation. This makes the profile particularly suited to designs where the lighting needs to occupy a wider area within the surface.
Choose the cover to suit your finish
The XT7227S uses a polycarbonate cover measuring 46 × 9mm, with Diffused, Transparent and Opal options available.
This gives you flexibility over the appearance of the completed lighting feature. A transparent cover offers a more direct visual finish, while diffused or opal options provide alternative appearances across the visible lighting surface.
