The XT7578S-II is a large-format X-Trusion aluminium profile designed to be recessed into surfaces, creating a substantial housing for integrated linear LED lighting. Measuring 75.6 × 78mm, it is designed for projects where the lighting installation forms an important part of the surrounding architecture.
With a generous 55.4mm lighting source width, the XT7578S-II provides a wide dedicated area for integrated LED lighting within its aluminium construction.

The XT7578S-II has been developed with a substantial rectangular form, giving it a strong architectural presence once installed.
Its large profile creates a structured housing around the lighting source, while the recessed installation allows the extrusion to be incorporated into the surface of the project. This makes it well suited to designs where the lighting needs to feel integrated rather than simply added onto the finished surface.
Flexible installation options
Although the XT7578S-II is primarily described as a recessed profile, the specification also shows pendant and surface mount installation options.
This gives designers additional flexibility when incorporating the profile into different lighting schemes. It can be integrated into a surface for a more architectural appearance, or used as a suspended or surface-mounted feature where the extrusion itself is intended to be visible.
A generous 55.4mm lighting source width
One of the defining features of the XT7578S-II is its 55.4mm lighting source width.
The technical drawing shows the lighting positioned within the lower section of the profile, with the substantial aluminium housing surrounding it. This creates a large-format profile designed around a wide linear lighting installation.
The overall dimensions of 75.6 × 78mm give the profile a considerably larger form than slimmer X-Trusion options, making it suitable where a stronger visual presence is required.
