The MEAN WELL HDR-100 takes the compact HDR concept and gives it a serious power boost. With output options from 12V to 48V, a slim 70mm-wide DIN-rail enclosure and up to 100W available from the N versions, it is built for applications where cabinet space matters but 60W simply isn't enough.

The series combines adjustable DC output, free-air convection cooling, universal input and built-in protection in a practical step-shape design. Standard HDR-100 models are also designed to meet Limited Power Source (LPS) requirements, while the HDR-100-xxN versions provide higher output capability with a wider adjustment range.

The HDR-100 is available in four main output-voltage options:

  • 12V
  • 15V
  • 24V
  • 48V

The standard HDR-100 versions provide up to around 92W, while the HDR-100-xxN versions take output power to around 100W.

Available current ratings extend up to 7.5A at 12V, depending on the model.


Despite moving into the 100W class, the HDR-100 remains impressively compact at just 70 × 90 × 54.5mm.

Its 4SU-wide format is designed for TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rails, giving you a neat and straightforward installation inside control cabinets and equipment.

The HDR-100 uses free-air convection cooling, keeping the design fanless and maintenance-friendly.

It is specified for a working temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, with output derating applied where required at higher ambient temperatures.

Output voltage can be adjusted depending on the exact HDR-100 version.

The standard models offer useful adjustment around their nominal output, while the N versions provide a particularly wide adjustment range — making them useful where a more precisely matched DC output is required.

For example:

  • 12V N: 12–13.8V
  • 15V N: 13.5–18V
  • 24V N: 21.6–29V
  • 48V N: 43.2–55.2V

The HDR-100 is designed for operation from -30°C to +70°C, with 20–90% RH non-condensing working humidity.

Free-air convection cooling keeps the thermal design simple, while the compact DIN-rail format makes it easy to integrate into enclosed equipment and control cabinets.

The HDR-100 gives you a useful balance between output power and cabinet space.

At just 70mm wide, it fits neatly onto standard DIN rail while providing enough power for systems that have outgrown smaller 15W, 30W or 60W supplies.
