The MEAN WELL XDR-240E brings 240W of dependable AC/DC power to industrial control panels and equipment, combining a slim DIN-rail format with the rugged features expected in demanding environments. With a universal 85–264VAC input, high efficiency and fanless cooling, it delivers reliable power without taking over valuable cabinet space.
Designed for industrial control systems, factory automation, semiconductor equipment and electro-mechanical applications, the XDR-240E is built to keep things simple: efficient power conversion, useful output adjustment, built-in protection and a convenient DC OK relay — all in a compact DIN-rail package.

The XDR-240E provides up to 240W of industrial DC power, with 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V output options to suit a wide range of control and automation equipment.
The 24V version is rated at 10A, making it a particularly useful choice for industrial control panels and equipment where dependable 24V power is required. The 24V output can also be adjusted from 24–29VDC, giving you some extra flexibility when matching the supply to your system.
Cabinet space is valuable — and the XDR-240E makes good use of it.
At just 40mm wide, with a 125.2mm height and 116mm depth, the XDR-240E keeps its footprint impressively compact for a 240W industrial power supply. It mounts directly onto standard TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rails, making installation straightforward in control cabinets and electrical equipment.
No cooling fan means no moving parts — and fewer things to worry about.
The XDR-240E uses free-air convection cooling, helping keep operation quiet while avoiding the maintenance concerns associated with forced-air cooling.
Industrial power supplies need to cope with the occasional problem — and the XDR-240E comes prepared.
Built-in protection includes:
- Short circuit protection
- Overload protection
- Overvoltage protection
- Overtemperature protection
The overload protection uses constant-current limiting within the specified operating range and automatically recovers once the fault condition is removed. Overvoltage protection shuts down the output and recovers automatically after the temperature returns to a safe level where applicable.
The output voltage can be fine-tuned to suit the application.
For the 24V model, the adjustment range is 24–29VDC, giving you useful control when compensating for voltage drop or matching the requirements of connected equipment.
The XDR-240E is designed to make efficient use of incoming power, with efficiency reaching up to 91% depending on model.
It also keeps standby consumption low, with no-load power consumption around 1W under the specified conditions.
